THE FAMILY BUSINESS
Growing up in a printing press
Zubair started out helping in his father's printing press, where he saw first-hand how orders, materials and cash flow make or break a business.
HIS OWN BUSINESS
Building and selling eDukaan
He then built his own online store, edukaan.buzz, and later sold it. Running it meant handling stock, orders and deliveries himself.
INSIDE A GROWING COMPANY
Running accounts and finance at Algronic and Versus
At Algronic and Versus, two sister companies, he was responsible for accounts and finance, handled import and product costing, and later looked after overall operations. He saw every gap between the warehouse, the books and the sales team.
THE TURNING POINT
Accounting software wasn't enough
Alongside, he deployed accounting software for manufacturers and distributors. It kept the books, but it couldn't stop shortages or plan production. Odoo could.
2023
TheTechCanvas is born
He pitched Odoo to Algronic and other businesses, started implementing it, and went full-time. Algronic, his former employer, is now a client. Websites, online stores and Meta ads followed, so clients could also sell more.
