This was early work, done before TheTechCanvas started implementing Odoo, while Zubair was responsible for accounts and finance at Algronic. Algronic is now one of our Odoo clients.
Stock kept running out
Each product needed different imported materials at different times, and shortages were common. We worked out the right quantity for each item, grouped materials logically and built an inventory forecasting calculator that showed what to order and when.
Payroll across two offices
With two locations and no proper attendance tracking, payroll was guesswork and staff didn't know their leave balances. We set up ZKTeco biometric attendance linked to payroll, so pay slips matched the attendance records and staff could see their annual, casual and medical leave.
Reports for fair bonuses
There was no structured way to judge department performance. We built department reports that management used to assess performance and decide bonuses.
Why this led to Odoo
These tools helped, but they didn't connect stock, purchasing, production and accounts. That gap is why Zubair moved to Odoo, and why Algronic later became one of our Odoo clients.
