About the role
We’re hiring a Senior Accountant for a growing import business in Karachi. You’ll run its financial operations, with a focus on import accounting, accurate landed cost and tax compliance. You’ll also lead a small team of junior accountants.
What you’ll do
- Calculate and record landed cost, including duties, taxes, freight and clearing charges
- Handle LC accounting for imports
- Prepare and file sales tax (FBR/SRB) and withholding tax returns
- Manage day-to-day accounting, reconciliations and monthly financial reports
- Support audits and supervise junior accounting staff
What you’ll bring
- B.Com/M.Com, ACCA, CA-Inter or ICMA
- 4–6 years of industry experience in a related field
- Strong knowledge of import accounting and landed cost calculation
- Sound knowledge of Pakistan tax laws: Sales Tax, Income Tax and Withholding Tax
- Strong MS Excel skills
- Odoo ERP experience — a plus
