One person's records, a busy press floor
Benison Printers is a printing press in Karachi. Paper is bought by the kilo but stocked in packets and reams. Every job passes through pre-press, printing and finishing, and often goes to outside vendors, while material moves in and out of the press all day.
Before Odoo, one person ran the whole system, and the records rarely matched what was happening on the floor.
Management needed to see what each job really cost, not an estimate worked out in Excel afterwards.

Every cost lands on the job as it happens
Full job costing
Each job is a manufacturing order, and everything it uses is booked against it.
- Materials issued to each job
- Machine time recorded per work centre, every day
- Outside-vendor work split by vendor, checked on return and billed against the same order
Cost and profit per project
Analytic accounts on every job, so cost, revenue and profit are calculated properly, not worked out in a spreadsheet afterwards.
Assets and capex
Machines and capital spending are tracked through analytic accounting, alongside the jobs they serve.
Gate pass and controls
One gate pass for goods in, out, returnable, production and repair, linked across every app. Checks stop draft documents being printed, prices being changed without approval, and deliveries going over the ordered quantity.
Staff training
Every team was trained on its own part of Odoo, so each person updates their part as the work happens.
The whole press, in real time
One person, one system
The records rarely matched what was happening on the floor.
Everyone updates their own part
Everyone at Benison sees the press in real time, management sees what every job really cost and earned, and they keep building on it.
